Topic: Poetry
I do not have it all together yet, but what I plan to do here is post poetry - both mine and that of other poets that I admire. Some might be famous poetry, some might be poetry from people I take classes with or know in some other manner. The focus of this site is poetry though.

Update - 1-2-06 - Wow - it's hard to believe more than a year has passed since I last updated this site. I've (again) not been writing too much lately, but I have been writing some. Nothing that I'm ready to post on here though. New stuff - well, to read it, I guess right now you need to know me and ask to see it sometime. I'm kind of going through a bit of a "dry stage" at the moment - no writing classes, no heartbreaks, and no muses, so not too much creative writing going on. Just have to see what this new year brings. Hopefully, something good...
Update - 5-13-04 - Another old one added. It's "God, I Just Want to Hold..." - it is a poem of longing and of loss. One newer one also, as yet untitled, written on the first of this month.
The quantity of my writing has been diminishing recently, but wanted to post something, so "something" is what is now on here. Maybe not so great, but it's at least new.
Also, I was thinking - given the paucity of my posts, I want to start a mailing list for when I get new things posted. I just learned about RSS feeds, but I'm not sure if I'll get that set up. So, if you want to know when I post something new, just drop me a line through the link below and I'll add you to the list.
Update - 4-18-04 - I can't stand the site not having more on it, so four more of my older things have been added now. They are "Jewel," "Like the Air that I Breathe," "Dancing Slow," and "Sweet Wine."
Update - 4/15/04 - Well, I finally got a few more poems posted. Five more, to be exact. They are "Acquaintance," "Immolation," "She Moves Between Two Lines," "Under The Fall," and "The Silence Was Night and Wet Leaves." All are in the "newer" section. Plus, I added a cool new drop-down menu in the "Newer Poems" section. A total of ten poems reside there now.
The poem, "Under The Fall," is somewhat inspired by W.S.Merwin's poem titled, "Leviathan." Check it out sometime. Also check Kunitz's "The Wellfleet Whale."
On the techie side, still having a little problem with getting the poems to center on the page, but I've found that often if it doesn't come up right the first time, if I refresh the page it will fix itself. Probably has something to do with the script I have running on the page. Anyway, enjoy!
PS - Don't forget to send me a note or sign my guest book. I really want to know who is checking out my page. Thanks.
Enjoy the site!
